o Open March 6th - Initial Draw March 21st; If you enter ONLINE {March 6,7,or 8th} your entry will be `prioritized first` for the initial 60 dog draw. You will emailed when your payment is received and moved to `approved` once you make the initial draw, wait listed if you do not make the draw. After the draw, wait listed handlers will be put in the trial as space becomes available.
Enter any 2 dogs in any class on any day. 3rd dogs will be allowed in a class if room permits;
However, a 3rd dog in a class must be entered on a separate entry and paid for separately to simplify money handling and accounting, thanks.
o Open will close at 60 dogs per day. The handlers making the draw for the first 60 slots will be in for all days if they choose to be.

Note: 100% of BCC donations, calculated with your entry, (use separate check for the donation amount payable to Univ of Minn.) will be forwarded to the U-of-M from the trial committee.
Highlights :
Tabletop will be a fund raiser for building the Border Collie DNA bank for Border Collie Collapse (BCC), Early
Onset Deafness (EOD) and Epilepsy studies via dog sponsorships.
Border Collie Collapse (BCC)
and other research is being done at the Unv of Minn.
Donations are appreciated for this cause and can be calculated on the entry form. Please donate via a separate check sent to me, but payable to the University of Minnesota. Put BCC in the subject line. Donors will become dog/handler team sponsors publicizing their caring and they will also be available for prizes donated to the event for BCC donors. Donors will be randomly assigned to dog/handler teams.

Attractions: This annual sheepdog trial is located in an area full of attractions and things to do while your are not Trialing. From Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, the Air Force Academy, fly fishing, to just relaxing in the Mountain air.
Description: :
The Table Top event this year will be 5 minutes south of Roper Point (at 14775 Black Forest Rd) and will start near sun-up each day; published times are approximate.
Course description : Field: a hill with a slight dip at the bottom. Courses changes everyday-run from bottom of the hill. Another course run from top of the hill. A diagonal course.and the double lift. Outruns 350-500 yds. with possible cross winds.
The sheep are yearling range rambolliet ewes unbroken by dogs that only run once a day. First day we start on 5 sheep. Sheep replacement is $300. 60 dogs will run per day in the Open class.
The Monday Open class will be a 'modified blind double lift with sort and pen'.
The 'Ranch' Classes are also known as 'Open Ranch' Classes.
Hotels...must book early because the air force academy graduation is the same week and hotels fill quickly. Closest hotels are in monument Colorado or north end of Colorado springs.
Directions:
Coming from the East on I-70 go south at Limon, Co towards Colorado Springs. There is no reason to go into Denver. Turn onto Elbert Highway and follow google maps. Coming from I-25 Take exit 158 Baptist RD, there are gas stations, restaurants, grocery, Petsmart, propane is available at Tractor Supply etc and head east for about 10 miles. Turn right (south) on Black Forest Rd. Go 1.8 miles, trial site on the east side at the cell tower. Please drive slowly so the neighbors do not complain about dust and traffic : ). If we receive heavy rains please contact me on my cell phone (719.351.5343) for the road can be too slippery to travel.
The field is near 14775 Black Forest Rd, Colorado Springs, CO.
Parking:
Parking is limited - Please indicate on your entry form if you are bringing a camper. - Hookups are not available.
